  • The organ in the Temple du Saint-Esprit in Besançon was built in 1836/1837 by the Callinet brothers for the Temple de Chamars, an old Capuchin church used by the Protestant community since 1805. It had seven stops, divided over two manuals and pedal. The organ was inaugurated on March 18, 1837.
  • In 1842 it was transferred to its current location, the old chapel of the Hôpital des Hospitaliers du Saint-Esprit. During the transfer, two stops were replaced and one choir of the Cornet was silenced. Over time, the organ has been slightly modified. The pedal compass was increased from 18 to 30 keys. In 1992 Alfred Kern carried out a restoration.
