- François Bernard Loret bouwde in de jaren 1872-1874 een orgel voor de kloosterkerk van Sint Antonius van Padua te Brussel. Deze kerk was in de jaren 1868 tot 1872 gebouwd in neogotische stijl. Adviseurs bij de bouw van het orgel waren J.-B. Coppens en Pater Julien. Beide heren verzorgden ook het inauguratieconcert op 19 maart 1874. In de jaren 1923-1925 is aan het orgel gewerkt door Albert De Lil. Waarschijnlijk wijzigde hij de registertractuur in pneumatiek, en ook is de dispositie gewijzigd. De Prestant 4' van het Grand Orgue is waarschijnlijk geplaatst op de plek van de Bombarde 16'. Verder zijn de Flûte 4' en de Trompette 8' van het pedaal waarschijnlijk door De Lil geplaatst. De Flûte 4' neemt de plaats in van de Grand Bourdon 16'. De Trompette zou gemaakt kunnen zijn van pijpwerk van de Bombarde 16' van het Grand Orgue en neemt de plaats in van de oorspronkelijke Contrebasse. Opvallend is ook dat bij de Fourniture het vijfde (hoogste) koor ontbreekt. Tenslotte breidde hij de omvang van het pedaal uit van 27 tot 30 toetsen door het plaatsen van een kleine uitbreidingslade.
- In 2011/2012 voerde de firma Schumacher een restauratie uit. Op 13 juni 2012 werd het weer in gebruik genomen met een concert door François Houtart.
