- The Evangelical Church in Schellenberg (Augustusburg) burned down in 1893. After rebuilding the church, a new organ was built by the Jehmlich company. It was inspected in October 1896 by Mr. Höpner, organist of the Kreuzkirche in Dresden. The organ had 34 stops. Church and organ were dedicated on September 27, 1896. The town of Schellenberg was given the name Augustusburg in July 1899.
- The front pipes were requisitioned in 1917. Reinhard Schmeisser carried out an overhaul in 1930, during which new front pipes were installed. In 1956 the organ was overhauled again by Schmeisser in connection with a renovation of the interior of the church. The disposition has also been altered to give the instrument a more baroque character.
- The Wünning company restored the organ in 2012-2013.
