De rooms-katholieke parochiekerk van Saint James in Albany NY werd op 11 mei 1929 gewijd. De firma Casavant bouwde een groot orgel voor de kerk. Het orgel zou bestaan uit een groot orgel op aan de westzijde van de kerk en een kleiner orgel op het koor. Dit laatste is wel gepland, maar nooit gebouwd. Op de speeltafel zijn wel de registerknoppen aanwezig. Het grote orgel is opgesteld in twee orgelkassen aan weerszijden van het grote westvenster. Op 31 mei 1931 is het instrument in gebruik genomen met een concert door Pietro Yon. Het orgel is in de oorspronkelijke staat bewaard gebleven. In 1983 voerde Casavant een revisie uit. Daarbij is een Mixture 5 ranks op Great geplaatst in plaats van de originele Mixture 3 ranks.
