  • The large organ in Saint Laurence Church in Ludlow was built in 1860 by Gray & Davison. The construction of the organ meant, as usual in England, the conversion and expansion of the existing organ. This instrument was supplied in 1764 by the famous organ maker John Snetzler, from whom large parts of the organ case and some ranks are still present. The Snetzler organ was expanded in 1837, probably by Joseph Walker, with a free pedal. In 1860, Gray & Davison moved the instrument to its current location. It was also completely rebuilt.
  • In 1901, the Hill & Sons company renewed its action. A new console was also installed. A further revision by Walker & Sons followed in 1950. The current situation arose in 1982, when the Nicholson company carried out an extensive restoration. Some stops were installed in the following years. In 2006 Nicholson fitted the organ with a modern setzer system.
