The organ in the Saint-Martin church in Montmédy dates from the eighteenth century. In 1917 the pipework was removed by German soldiers. Since then, the organ case had been empty in the church. A foundation was established in 2000, with the aim of rebuilding the organ. This work was carried out by the Muhleisen company in the years 2010-2013. On October 27, 2013, the instrument was dedicated. It was played on this occasion by Olivier Vernet.
