Around 1880 Giovanni Tonoli built an organ with one manual for the Iglesia de San Ignacio de Loyola in Buenos Aires. This organ replaced an instrument by the Spanish organ maker Antoni Portell from 1859. In 1906 the instrument was converted and expanded by Donato Sangaletti. He ordered the new material from Locatelli in Italy.
