- In 1894 a new organ was built by the Sauer company for the Johanniskirche in Neubrandenburg. It was the first organ of Sauer with a pneumatic stop action, but still with mechanical key action. The organ was built in connection with a major restoration of the church building, and was put into use at the same time as the renewed church on December 2nd, 1894. It is opus 638 of Sauer Orgelbau.
- Otto Müller worked on the organ in the fifties and sixties of the twentieth century. He cut the Gamba 8' to a Flötgen 2', the Salicional 8' to a Prinzipal 4' and the Fugara 4' to an Oktave 2'. He also moved the Gedackt 8' on the pedal to a four-foot. In 1968, Wolfgang Nußbücker placed a new console, inside the original Sauer console-cabinet. Various stops were given new names. The two fixed combinations were replaced by free combinations. The organ was offered for sale in 1988 in connection with the construction of a completely new instrument by Schuke. It is not known whether the organ was sold and to whom.
