Gebaut von: Wilhelm Sauer Orgelbau (1928)
In 1928 Wilhelm Sauer built a large concert organ for the Glockensaal in the Konzerthaus in Bremen. The instrument survived the Second World War, but fell into serious disrepair during renovation work in the building. In 2006 Christian Scheffler completed a restoration, which ended with a festive return to service on October 31, 2006 with a concert by Wayne Marshall. The fourth manual, a Fernwerk above the ceiling of the hall, is currently not connected. There are also plans to restore this to its original state.
