In the years 1854-1857, the Église Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul was built in Lille, designed by Pierre Caloine. The old organ of the church was destroyed in 1940 by war violence. After restoration of the church building, Erwin Müller built a new organ in 1958/1959. On March 1, 1959, Gaston Litaize played the dedication concert. Litaize was also appointed as a consultant during the design and construction of the organ. The organ was revised by Bernard Cogez in 1991.
