The Jesuit Church of Saint Jacob in Ljubljana was built in the years 1611-1615. Over time, several organs have been in the church. The first was built in 1616, and was a gift from the Teutonic Knights. It was replaced in 1754, but this almost new organ was lost in a fire in 1774. Eisl built a new organ in 1778, which was demolished in 1853. Ferdinand Malahovsky built an entirely new instrument. He expanded it in 1857. In 1883 it was converted and extended by Franc Goršič. In the twentieth century, this organ was regularly worked on. The interior was demolished in 1960. Franc Jenko built a new organ with electro-pneumatic action in Mahalovsky's cases.
