In 1778 Pehr Schiörlin built an organ for Alvesta Kyrka. The front was built to a design by Olof Samuel Tempelman. Around 1800 Johannes Magnusson replaced the Qvintadena 8' with a Fugara 8'. In 1911 Nils Hammarberg built a completely new two-manual organ with pneumatic action. The old organ was dismantled and stored in 1912. In 1962 it turned out that the Hammarberg organ was no longer in use. The Moberg firm then rebuilt Schiörlin's old work, which was completed in 1964. Gotthard Arnér from Stockholm was the consultant for the work.
