In 1872, the Stiehr-Mockers firm built an organ for the Basilique Notre-Dame in Marienthal. The organ was extensively renovated in 1898 by Roehtinger. In 1927 Georges Schwenkedel renovated the organ. It was replaced in 1962 by a new organ of Curt Schwenkedel, with the pipework still present from 1872 being reused. In 1927 Schwenkedel placed in the organ a Voix Humaine by Silbermann, from the organ of the Saint-Thomas in Strasbourg. In 1979 this register was re-installed in Strasbourg. A Voix Humaine from Rinckenbach was subsequently placed in Marienthal. The organ was restored in 2015-2017 by the company Blumenroeder. A new digital combination system has also been installed.
