  • In the choir room of the Sankt Georgkirche in Dinkelsbühl there is an old positiv organ, which was built as a portable instrument, so that it could be carried through the streets in processions. It dates from the first quarter of the seventeenth century. The builder is unknown, but it is generally assumed that it was built either by Stephan Cuntz from Nürnberg or by Nikolaus Manderscheidt from Betracht.
  • The organ stood in the church in an unplayable condition for a long time. The Zeilhuber company carried out an overhaul in 1961/1962. A wind engine was also installed. During the restoration of the church building in the years 1975 to 1985, the organ was dismantled and stored.
  • In 1988 the Klais company carried out a reconstruction, after which the organ was placed back in the church. This reconstruction was based on the example of the Leipziger Positiv. The organ is equipped with a new electric motor, outside the organ case. Klais also reconstructed the Regal 8' after historical examples.
