Bâti par: Joseph Merklin (1885)
In 1885, Joseph Merklin built a two-manual organ for the Saint-Vincent-de-Paul chapel in Tain l'Hermitage. Over time, two stops have been altered. The Voix Céleste was cut down to a Flagéolet 2' and the Voix Humaine was replaced by a Sesquialtera. In 1990 the organ was purchased for the church of Couvent Saint-Antoine in Sélestat. The Schwenkedel organ (opus 88) present here was demolished. The Voix Céleste from this organ, however, was installed in Merklin's work. The construction and restoration took several years. In 1998/1999 the organ was restored by Michael Gaillard with the help of many volunteers. The organ was officially put into use on October 23 and 24, 1999.
