It replaced an organ by Johann Heinrich and Christian Gräbner from 1710 with thirty stops. The organ has been regularly overhauled over the years. The renovation in 1906 by the Jehmlich company was more radical. The organ now got pneumatic action, cone chests and was expanded with a third manual. On February 13, 1945, the organ was lost due to bombing.
