The organ in the First Congregation Church in Hinsdale, Massachusetts, is built in 1914 by Carl Barckhoff. It was originally built for the Reformed Church of Griggstown in New Jersey. It was relocated to Hinsdale via the Organ Clearing House. Richard Hedgebeth (Stuart Organ Company) rebuilt the organ here with a new organ case, new mechanics and a new keyboard. Historical pipe work from around 1840, made by George Stevens, was also used to complete the instrument. On November 4, 1973 the organ could be dedicated on the new location with a recital by Stephen Long. The Sesquialtera was not yet installed.
