Bâti par: Gebrüder Rieger (1931)

  • On the advice of the organist of the Domkirche in Innsbruck, the Gebr. Rieger in 1931 built a large new organ for the church, replacing the old organ of Reinisch. The instrument consisted of a main organ and a Fernwerk, which was played from a four-manual console at the organ gallery. It was built by Rieger as opus 2500. It was inaugurated on November 17, 1931, with Karl Koch and Karl Walter playing it. In 1990 it was decided to have a new organ built. The old was sold to the parish church of Wien-Breitenfeld. But the Fernwerk remained in Innsbruck and was given its own console, so that it could be used as a choir organ.
  • The organ is currently out of use (2017) and is waiting for a restoration. The financial resources for this are not yet available.
