  • In 1965/1966 the Grönlund company built a new organ for the Adolf Fredriks Kyrka in Stockholm. The old organ case by Olof Schwan from 1782 was reused, as well as two registers by Per Åkerman from 1867. The original work by Olof Schwan was demolished in 1866/1867 except for the organ case. Per Åkerman built a new organ in the old case. This was converted and extended in 1908 by Åkerman & Lund.
  • In 1961 it was decided to build a new organ. The organ was inaugurated on June 5, 1966. During the ceremony, Dom organist Gotthard Arnér played the new organ. He was also involved in the construction as a consultant. On June 6, 1966, a first official concert on the organ followed. It was played by Gotthard Arnér. Some works were performed on two organs. The organ positive in front of the church was played by Eskil Burman.
  • In 1974 the organ was overhauled by Bruno Christensen.
