In 1989 Gerhard Schmid built an organ for the Kongregationssaal of the Marianischen Männerkongregation in Altötting. The organ was the second organ in this room, which also houses an instrument from the company März from 1864. In 2006 it was decided to lend the Schmid organ to the Berufsfachschule für Musik. It was dismantled in February 2007 and moved to the auditorium of this school, which is located on the third floor. The organ may be bought by the school in the future.
