- Friedrich Ladegast installed a two-manual organ in the village church of (Hoch-) Hermsdorf in 1884. Ladegast used two stops from the previous organ of the church, which was built in 1829 by Johannes Stephani from Leipzig. The organ was built with mechanical action and slider chests for the manuals. The pedal chest was a cone chest.
- The prospect pipes were removed in 1917. In 1933 Alfred Schmeisser made the pedal action pneumatic. He also replaced the Nassat with an Aeoline. In 1961 the Aeoline was again replaced by a Nassat and the original Doublette 2-3 fach was also modified. The organ got a wind engine in 1966. Arwed Rietzsch carried out a restoration in 1989. The organ was completely restored in 2004/2005 by the company Jehmlich. Jehmlich made new pewter front pipes.
