The organ in the roman catholic church "Zum Kreuzerhöhung" in Kirrweiler was built in 1809 by Franz Seuffert. In 1900 Carl Weigle replaced the interior with a new pneumatic work, while retaining the organ case and the prospect pipes. The prospect pipes also survived the First World War. In 1928, an electric blower was installed by Franz Kämmerer. The instrument was restored by Hugo Wehr in 1970. The stop list was modified according to the ideas of this time.
In 1998, Rémy Mahler reconstructed Seuffert's organ and added a second manual to his concept in style. The instrument was dedicated on November 15, 1998 with a concert by Christoph Keggenhoff.
