The instrument of Steinmeyer was replaced in 1978 by a new organ by Ekkehard Simon, Landshut. On January 15, 1978 the new instrument was inaugurated, played by Walther Haffner from Rummelsberg. In addition to the organ case, which, according to the commissioning program, dates from 1785, the bellows, wind motor and some pipework from the old organ were also taken over.
