In 1868 Heinrich Schäfer built an organ for the Domkirche in Lampertsheim. This organ was lost in the Second World War. In 1957 the Walcker company delivered a new organ. At the end of the twentieth century it was decided to replace it. The Vleugels firm built this instrument. Schäfer's concept served as the basis for the new specification. The organ case was given a modern design with a color decoration by Eberhard Münch. The organ was dedicated on July 17, 2005 with a concert by Martin Balz.
