- In 1706, Johann Hoffmann, organ maker in Würzburg, built a new organ for the Karthause Engelgarten. After the secularisation, the church was taken over by the Evangelisch-Lutherische Gemeinde, and in 1816 the organ was relocated to the Stephanskirche. It served here for only four years.
- The organ was transferred to the church of Büchold in 1820 by Johann Konstantin Suckfüll. The parish church of Büchold is the former Friedhofskirche. The original parish church had been demolished in 1796. The organ has twelve stops.
