  • In 1878-1879, the Jehmlich company built a new organ with two manuals and pedals and twenty stops for the church of the village of Plauen near Dresden, a gift to the church of Traugott Bienert. It replaced a smaller organ from 1816, possibly built by Friedrich Traugott Kayser. In 1900, the church building was renovated and enlarged according to a design by the architects Lossow & Viehweger. The Jehmlich company was commissioned to build a new, larger organ, taking nineteen stops from the old organ. The new front was also designed by Lossow & Viehweger, and has features of various architectural styles, including Art Nouveau. The instrument was inaugurated on April 1, 1902. It had 47 stops, three manuals and pedal, and was built with cone chests and pneumatic action.
  • In 1917 the front pipes were requisitioned. These were later replaced by new ones made of zinc. Various renovations and extensions also followed, including in 1934, 1946 and 1958. All of this work was carried out by Jehmlich. The organ did not improve. In 1977, Gerald Stier started planning and raising funds for a new building.
  • In 1985 the instrument was replaced by a new organ, built by the Eule company. Advisors during the construction were Christoph Schwarzenberg and Gerald Stier. Some stops were taken over in whole or in part from the old instrument. The old organ case has also been reused.
