- The Stift Sankt Irminen in Trier is a former Benedictine monastery, dating back to the seventh century. In 1768-1771 a new monastery church was built, designed by Jean Antoine in Baroque style. After the dissolution of the monastery in 1802, the buildings remained in use as a hospital. The church was destroyed in 1944.
- The building was rebuilt in the old style in the years 1962-1964. A new organ was supplied by Eduard Sebald. It was restored by Hugo Mayer. Het installed a Trompete 8' on the Hauptwerk, and relocated the Oboe 8' of the Hauptwerk to the Positiv.
