The organ in the village church of Riessen was built by Johann Georg Gast in 1801 (the book 'Barocke Pracht und schlichte Schönheit' mentions 1780 as the year of construction). It originally had seven stops. In 1886 it was overhauled and expanded to eight stops. The Sauer company carried out a restoration around 1975.
