- Westminster Cathedral was built in 1903 in a typical Byzantine style, to a design by John Francis Bentley. The church building was dedicated in 1910. The church is the main Roman Catholic cathedral in England and Wales. The church is dedicated to the Precious Blood of Jesus Christ.
- Henry Willis (III) started building the main organ in 1920. The instrument was completed in 1932. It is placed on a gallery on the west side of the nave of the church. Remarkable is the facade, which consists of five wooden panels with grids, placed behind stone arches. There are no pipes visible from the church. The organ was built with pneumatic action.
- In 1984, Harrison & Harrison carried out an overhaul. The action has been electrified and the voicing of various stops has been altered. During a restoration in 1996 by the same company, the voicing was returned to the original situation. A sequencer was also installed in 1996.
