1988 Förster & Nicolaus  Restaurierung

  • In the village church of Mettenheim, the brothers Johann Philipp and Johann Heinrich Stumm built a new organ with two manuals and an independent pedal in 1762. The organ has been overhauled several times over the years, with the disposition also being modified. In 1907 new keyboards were installed by Karl Förster, as well as a new storage bellows.
  • In 1968 the Oberlinger company restored the organ. The original reeds were replaced during this process. The organ turned out not to have been restored in the spirit of Stumm, so that within twenty years the firm of Förster & Nicolaus received the order for a new restoration. This was performed in 1987 and 1988. The organ has then been completely restored to its original state.
