- The Kirche auf dem Tempelhofer Feld was built to a design by Fritz Bräuning and was completed in 1928. Wilhelm Sauer built a large organ for the church, with a specification influenced by the Orgelbewegung. The instrument was put into service on May 17, 1928.
- Because the church was badly damaged in 1944/1945, the organ was left outdoors for a long time. This made it unusable. In 1958 it was definitively replaced by a new organ from the Karl Schuke company.
