In 1883 voltooide de firma Hook & Hastings een nieuw orgel voor de First Unitarian Church in Roxbury, Massachusetts.Tijdens een grote brand kon de kerk gered worden door het gebouw nat te houden. Veel water kwam ook in het orgel terecht, dat daardoor onbespeelbaar werd. Na tien jaren zwijgen besloot men een poging te doen het orgel te restaureren. De firma Huntington & Co. voerde de werkzaamheden uit, en met succes: het instrument speelt weer en klinkt zoals het in 1883 ontworpen was.
