The company Gebr. Link built a new organ for the Christuskirche in Andernach in 1914. It is a three-manual pneumatic organ with 36 stops. The organ replaced an instrument from 1865 of the firm Weil from Neuwied. In 1938 and 1957 the organ's disposition was altered to give the instrument a more baroque character. The pneumatic action was electrified in 1957. The organ has been restored by the company Peter Orgelbau in the years 1996-1998 and brought back to the situation of 1914. It is striking that only in 1989 an advice was given to replace the organ with a new instrument. All registers have been restored and supplemented where necessary. Eight registers were made new. The whole organ has been revoiced.
