- In the church of Sint Jan Baptist in Paal there is an organ from 1836, built by Jean-Joseph Delhaye. The contract for building the organ was signed on October 5, 1834. The original instrument almost certainly had no pedal, and one manual with eleven stops. According the order the instrument had to be completed in 1836. In 1859, a small pedal board with eighteen keys (C-f°) was added to the organ, probably by Joannes Cornelius Delhaye, who also carried out the maintenance work since 1842. In 1862, the church of Paal was demolished, and the organ was dismantled and stored.
- The organ was installed in 1872 by P.J. Vermeulen in the new (current) church. This church is designed in new-gothic style. The organ was modified by Vermeulen during installation. The Cornet was changed from 5 ranks to 2 ranks, the Nasard 2 2/3' was replaced by a Bourdon 16' and finally a Salicional was installed instead of a Sesquialter or a Cymbel. A third choir from de Cornet is still present, but it is sealed. Vermeulen also made a new basement for the case. The organ was located on the organ gallery, but stood to the northern wall, so it was hardly possible to see the organ from the church.
- The organ was out of use since 1960, and an electronic instrument was in use during the services. Fundraising for recovery and restoration started in 1983. The Schumacher company was commissioned in 1987. They made a new basement in style of Delhaye. The original specification has been completely reconstructed, with the addition of a Tremblant Doux. The missing pipes were built according examples of other Delhaye organs. The pedal board from 1859 was replaced by a new one, with a larger compass of 27 keys (C-d'). The organ was relocated in the church to the church floor in the northern transept. On July 2, 1989, the organ was inaugurated with a concert by Frank Smolders, organ and Ronny Roofthooft, trumpet.
- In 2020-2021 a new restoration will be carried out by Jos Moors. It is expected that the work will be finished in June 2021.
