- Under direction of Gert Völkl, the Sandtner Orgelbau firm built a new organ for the Herz-Jesu-Kirche in Augsburg-Pfersee in 1999. The first phase of construction was completed in October 1999. The instrument was commissioned on October 17, 1999 with a recital by Hermann-Josef Münzer. At the time it had 36 stops, divided between two manuals and pedal.
- In 2005 the organ was expanded to a four-manual organ with 58 stops. The consultant for the second phase was Stephan Kling.
