- The organ in the Altstädter Kirche in Hofgeismar was built in 1983 by Gerhard Schmid in collaboration with Friedrich Euler. Gerhard Schmid used this organ as a "pilot project" for the organ he would build for Dijon Cathedral in 1993. Various technical constructions from that organ have therefore previously been used in Hofgeismar. The swell is placed as Brustwerk. Of the Solo work, the Vox Humana and the Cornett are also in the swell box.
- In 2006 Elmar Krawinkel carried out major maintenance. In addition, the Rohrschalmey 8' has been replaced by a new Oboe 8'.
