- De Cathedral of the Holy Trinity is gebouwd in 1793 naar ontwerp van John Robert. Het orgel is in eerste aanleg gebouwd in 1858 door William Hill. Het is op 29 augustus 1858 gewijd. Na de mis werd een concert gegeven door William Thomas Best.
- De firma Hill breidde het instrument in 1901 uit en bouwde het om naar pneumatische tractuur. Het orgel is in 1963 volledig verbouwd door de Irish Organ Company. Bij deze ombouw gingen veel oorspronkelijke registers verloren, waardoor het orgel veel van haar karakter is kwijtgeraakt.
