- On November 24, 1716, the new Silbermann organ of the church in Niederschöna was examined by Elias Lindner. It was moved from the north to the west side of the church in 1755 by Johann Georg Schön. In 1854 Leberecht Trepte replaced the Trompete 8' from the pedal with an Octavbaß 8'. When lightning stroke the church, this caused much damage in 1876, after which it was repaired in 1877 by Carl Eduard Jehmlich.
- The organ was rebuilt in 1907 by Gebr. Jehmlich rebuilt. The pipework was shifted a tone and the prospect pipes were extended. Furthermore, the Cymbel has been replaced by a Gambe 8' and a second manual with three stops (Aeoline 8', Traversflöte 8' and Gemshorn 4') has been added on a pneumatic cone chest. The old Subbass of the pedal was replaced by a new one.
- In the years 1959-1960, a first attempt was made to restore the organ to its original state by the company Jehmlich. The second manual was removed. A new Cymbel and a Trompete (from Giesecke) were placed, but not following the original design. In 1975 Jehmlich moved a part of the pipes back to its original location and a new Subbass was installed. Jehmlich also manufactured a new pedal keyboard. In 1992, Giesecke's Trompete was replaced by Kristian Wegscheider with a copy of a Silbermann-Trompete. As a result, the organ is partly in its original condition. However, parts of the pipework is still on the locations from 1907 and the pedal keyboard is a modern one. There are plans for a complete reconstruction.
