1778 Johann Gottfried Malleck  new organ
1943 Karl Schuke  restoration
1992 Karl Schuke  restoration
2020 Tobias Herold  restoration

  • In 1778 Johann Malleck completed a new organ for the Domkirche in Eisenstadt. The instrument was built with two manuals and an independent pedal. The keyboards had a short octave and a compass of C-c''', while the pedal had 12 keys. The organ was built under the supervision of Joseph Haydn.
  • In 1943 the instrument was restored by Karl Schuke. He replaced the keyboard with a new one and expanded the compass of the manuals to C-g''' without the short octave. The Positiv's windchest is still original, however, so the new keys have no corresponding pipes on the chest. The windchest of the main work was expanded. Schuke made a completely new pedal chest with a compass of C-f', installed the old ranks on it and expanded the stop list with a Posaune 16'. In 1992 Schuke carried out a restoration.
  • A new restoration has been carried out in the first half of 2020 by Tobias Herold. On May 17, 2020, the organ was reconsecrated during a festive church service.
