- Bernhard Nollet was commissioned in 1782 to build a new organ for the Basilica of Sankt-Salvator in Prüm. The instrument had two manuals and a pedal with 25 registers. Johannes Seitz designed a beautiful organ case, that was constructed by Johann Baptist Molitor. French soldiers took possession of the city in 1794 and damaged the organ to such an extent that it was no longer usable.
- It was eventually restored in 1863 by Wilhelm Breidenfeld. In the Second World War, the instrument was again heavily damaged by acts of war. The Klais company started a reconstruction in 1971. Almost everything had to be made new. A Breidenfeld windchest has been preserved in the Rückpositiv. The organ was officially inaugurated on April 15, 1973. Consultants were the church's organist, Wolfgang Oehms, and the cantor, Josef Monter.
