In November 1996, the Protestant church community in Wesel commissioned the firm Marcussen to build a new organ for the Domkirche. Ralph Schweitzer from Bonn designed the organ case. On October 29, 2000, the organ was inaugurated with a concert by Almut Rössler. Some stops were installed in 2001.
