In 1899, George Kilgen built a two-manual organ for Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Joseph Campau Street in Detroit. In 1941 this church was taken out of use, but the building remained standing. The organ also remained unattended. In 1986 it was refurbished by the organist of Sainte Anne's Roman Catholic Church, Wayne T. Warren, and transferred to the Gabriel Richard Chapel in this church.
