Charles Fisk built an Italian-style organ for the Abbey Memorial Chapel of Mt. Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts. It is an addition to the chapel, not replacing the existing Skinner-organ, but installed opposite to it on a new gallery. The choice for an organ in Italian Renaissance style was partly made by the advice of Margaret Irwin-Brandon, organist of the school. The organ has German stopnames. The idea behind this is that it would be a northern Italian organ with one manual with a German style Rückpositiv. The organ is Fisk's opus 84 and became the last instrument that Charles himself could complete during his lifetime. The organ was dedicated in the weekend February 15-17, 1985. The inauguration concert was played by Mireille Lagacé.
