The Engelbretskyrka in Stockholm was built in 1914 and was designed by the architect Lars Israel Wahlman. Wahlman also designed a front for the organ, which was built by the Setterquist firm. This instrument had three manuals and pedal with 43 stops. On the advice of the church's organist, Oskar Lindberg, the firm of Åkerman & Lund expanded the organ in 1929 to four manuals and pedal and a total of 95 stops. In addition to the main organ behind the Wahlman front, a so-called Fernwerk and a choir organ on the altar were also connected to the console. Further changes and extensions followed in 1932, 1946 and 1951. It now had 112 registers. In 1964 the organ was demolished and replaced by a new instrument from the Grönlund company.
