  • In 1716 Caspar Kirchner built a new organ for the Schlosskirche in Hachenburg, commissioned by Graf Georg Friedrich von Sayn-Wittgenstein. The organ had 22 stops. It replaced an instrument from 1625, which may have been built by Georg Wagner of Lich. After an enlargement of the church building, the organ was relocated by Johann Andreas Mahr to a new gallery above the altar and pulpit. He also moved the keyboard from the front to the side of the organ. Johann Wilhelm Schöler repaired the work in 1816, and he made some modifications to the stop list.
  • Apart from the organ case, nothing of Kirchner's organ has been preserved. In 1894-1895 the firm of Walcker & Cie. built a new interior with seventeen stops, opus 717 of the firm. The instrument was delivered in September 1895. In 1957 this work was replaced by a new organ from the firm Kemper & Sohn with seventeen stops, built under the direction of Hans Brendel.
  • The current organ was built in 1995 by the Klais company. Kirchner's organ case has once again been preserved after a restoration. The new organ was inaugurated on January 21, 1996. It has 28 stops.
