  • The organ in Lescar cathedral is of an unknown maker, and also of unknown origin. It was placed in the cathedral in 1761. As a builder, it is thought of Dom Bédos from Bordeaux, and it could have been built around 1750. The organist of the church, Achille Ducomet, repaired the organ in 1836.
  • In 1869 an entirely new instrument was actually placed behind the historic prospect by Georges Wenner. He did use a lot of the old pipes for this. On February 20, 1870, the new organ was dedicated. The inaugurational concert was played by Léandre Czerniewski and M. Legros (organist of the church of Saint-Nicolas in Bordeaux).
  • Michel Roger carried out a renovation in 1915. He enlarged the organ with a Bourdon 8' on the Grand Orgue. In 1953, Michel Pesce overhauled the instrument.
  • In 1978 the organ was restored by Robert Chauvin, which restoration was completed in the years 1995-2000 by Nicolas Toussaint. On June 17, 18 and 19, 2000 the instrument was festively inaugurated again with Daniel Roth as an important guest organist.
