Bâti par: firma Rudolf von Beckerath (1959)
On November 29, 1959, a new organ built by the German firm of Von Beckerath was inaugurated at the Queen Mary Road United Church in Montréal-Westmount. Robert Noehren, organist from the University of Michigan (USA) played the instrument on this occasion. The organ is special because it was the first mechanical slider chest organ to be installed in a Canadian church in many decades. Two small organs had already been supplied by Rieger and by Ott to private individuals. In 1994 the organ was overhauled by Hellmuth Wolff & Associes and transferred to Saint Andrews Church. Wolff added two stops, but furthermore the instrument was unmodified.
