- In 1682 Joseph Egedacher built a new organ with one manual and an attached pedal with twelve keys for the Maria Plain basilica near Salzburg. The beautiful organ case is still present, but the interior has almost completely been lost in the course of time. In 1742, the organ had to be rebuilt to allow more light to fall on the main altar. Ludwig Mooser rebuilt the instrument in 1850 and removed 12 stops. An extension with a second manual and conversion to an electro-pneumatic organ by the company Dreher & Flamm marked the end of the original mechanics.
- In 1995 it was decided to have a new organ built by Georg Westenfelder, which would better match the historic organ case. The old specification of Egedacher was taken as the starting point for the main organ (Hauptwerk). Pipes from the Copel 8' were still preserved in the organ. Mooser's Subbass and Oktavbass could be reused on the Pedal. The second manual is equipped with a Cornet decomposé. The new organ was completed in 1996.
