- The organ in parish church of the French-Flemish village of West-Cappel was built by Jan van Belle in 1683. It was originally built for another church. According to some sources, that would have been the parish church (Église Saint-Martin) of Wormhout. The instrument may have been transferred to West-Cappel by Pierre Charles van Peteghem in 1810, but there is no evidence for this. The current organ in Wormhout dates from 1849.
- In the years 1982-1984, the organ was restored by the organ maker Franc-Comtoise. Attempts have been made to reconstruct the seventeenth century instrument. The organ case was expanded in 1864 with a fake positive. This has been removed again. The organ has no pedal. The Voix Humaine is still missing. A special stop is the 'Lierre', a kind of bagpipe with three reed pipes that produce quint.
