The organ in Adlington Hall was built around 1670 by Bernard Smith. It is said that George Frederic Handel played here in 1741 and 1751. The instrument has not been used since around 1800. It was restored in 1959 by Noel Mander in collaboration with Cecil Clutton. The organ has no pedal. The manuals run from contra-B to d'''. But the keys of contra-B and Cis-play the notes contra-G and contra-A.
